Fairfield is perfectly located between the Rocky Mountain Front and Great Falls which provides businesses and residents with access to a full slate of activities and transportation.

Fairfield is a small agricultural community with a population of 759. Fairfield is located in Teton county along highway 89 and is the gateway to Glacier National Park. Fairfield is known as the “Malting Barley Capital of The World.”  A trade center for the farming community, as well as the home to Busch Agricultural Resources. The Fairfield Bench is supplied irrigation water from Greenfield Irrigation District, the water is delivered from Gibson Dam and supports 83,000 acres in the surrounding area. Freezeout Lake is located just North of Fairfield where as many as 300,000 Snow geese and 10,000 Tundra swans gather in March and October on their annual migration.

The Fairfield community has many religious and community organizations. Fairfield Schools have earned US News best high school ranking and the National Blue-Ribbon School honor. The community includes a beautiful city center park complete with a swimming pool, tennis courts, and a playground. In addition, there is a professionally designed golf course located just south of town with the majestic Rocky Mountains as the backdrop. The community offers several events throughout the year, the Christmas Stroll, Easter Egg hunt, Live Your Dash Auto Show, Swim Day, plus many other club, church, and school events.

Because of its location, Fairfield has outstanding recreational opportunities, these include Glacier National Park, Lewis and Clark National Forest, Freezeout Lake, and the Bob Marshall Wilderness area. There are plenty of year-round opportunities for birdwatching, water skiing, snow skiing/boarding, hiking, hunting, fishing, boating, and ice boating.
