5.04.070 Grounds for issuance or denial of license. If the council shall determine that any applicant for a license or any person interested in the ownership of any business sought to be licensed may be operated in such manner as to be detrimental to the public health, peace, morals, or general welfare of the town, such application shall be denied; otherwise, the application shall be granted. If the council shall find, after investigation, that the premises or buildings of the business to be operated under license are in unsafe condition or are constructed or operated in such a way as to be detrimental to the public welfare, the council shall deny the application for license. 5.08.040 License fee. The fee for a town license to engage in the business of transient merchant is $100.00 per year or $50.00 for a temporary license up to one month.
